- Asset Repair and Maintenance Scheduling system
-
- Asset maintenance costs often comprise a very large part of an operating
- budget, and high replacement costs force the extension of the working life of
- an asset. Asset Repair and Maintenance Scheduling system (ARMS) has two basic
- goals: to ensure maximum asset availability and to provide cost control. The
- keys to maximizing asset availability are the reduction of down-time, and the
- maximization of the repair schedule. ARMS achieves this by reducing expensive
- emergency repairs and scheduling all required work at once. ARMS provides
- cost control of labor, parts, and sub-contractors by estimates, quotes, and
- standards. ARMS further controls the over and under maintenance of assets to
- prolong operating life and reduce spare unit requirements. ARMS can include a
- full shop control system, parts inventory and purchasing, and financials.
